Many destitute, bereft and mentally ill persons of the society are seen in various parts of the city, unconscious, repulsed by their own people, smelly, disgusting, not caring for the world nor their own sustenance, nor the wounds on their bodies. Such a mentally ill person or a destitute person who is destitute and destitute on the streets. No one looks at them and no one helps them. However, the couple Nandkumar and Aarti Palve have become an exception to this. This ‘Sevavrati’ couple has continuously done the work of saving humanity along with preserving humanity by establishing ‘Sewa Sankalp Pratishthan’ as a right home for mentally ill people rejected by the society, family and system.

About ten years ago, Nandkumar and Aarti’s friendship blossomed into love. A destitute, bereft psychopath at a bus stop witnesses their love. Instead of dreaming of a happy world while taking in the charms of love, they decided to devote their lives to witnessing their love.

In that regard, the actual action was also started from the year 2008. On October 7, 2012, the ‘Sewa Sankalp’ was planted in the auditorium of Garde Library, Buldhana. In the beginning, work was done to find mental patients in urban and rural areas of Chikhli-Buldana and surrounding areas and deliver them one-time uninterrupted meals.

The efforts of proper treatment started with dinner, clothes and body hygiene for the dead man lying on the roadside. Many friends were also helping in this. However, this was not enough. There was a feeling that these destitute should have a roof of rights. Nandkumar Palve’s father Dnyaneshwar Palve came to know about this and donated around 1 acres of his land at Palaskhed Sapkal on Buldana-Undri Road to Sevasankalp. On this, the Palve couple started taking care of the mentally ill by setting up a tin shed with great effort.

On Diwali of the year 2016, the inaugural lamp was lit by Padmashri Dr. Prakash Baba Amte and Dr. Mandatai Amte. Since then many patients have been treated and cared for. The growing number of psychopaths and their subsequent stigmatization is not new in society. Therefore, it is not appropriate to get name-dropped just by criticizing the system. It will not solve the original problem.

It is the opinion of this Palve couple that they will have to establish a service work that will have far-reaching effects. If the patients get the hand of Maya, it strengthens the hope of transformation.

The overall condition of these patients and the suffering caused to them is also huge. Many are afraid to even look at the patients for fear of going to them and stoning them. This divine work is being carried out by Neta along with showing the talent of being the mother of such psychopaths. The journey of the last 10 years has not been easy and the next one will not be. But there will be no break in this journey; This can be confirmed by looking at the works of Nandkumar and Aarti Palve so far.
